Dominion – Whose? When?

Dominion – An Inevitable Concept

“For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.” Hebrews 2:5-10.

Who is Psalm 8 talking about? Depends on when you read it. Before Christ, it’s talking about man, humanity, the Adamic creation, but after Christ, it’s clearly talking about Christ. But it couldn’t do away with the general reference to man, could it? No, it also refers to man in Christ, the new creation, the second Adam. Continue reading “Dominion – Whose? When?”

Avatar – Even the Title

The scientific world of the West looks upon the word avatar as meaning “a visible manifestation or embodiment of an abstract concept; archetype.” The entertainment game world of the West views the term as meaning “a user in a multi-user virtual reality (or VR-like).” But the word “avatar” in Hindu mythology means “the descent of a deity to the earth in an incarnate form or some manifest shape; the incarnation of a god.” Dictionary.com. Thus, even the title shows the theme of the man from heaven coming down to people, taking on their form, and giving his life to save and rule them.

Yes, It’s Time to Cast Aside Secular Humanist Law and Education

Evolution’s System of Law:

  1. Man as the only reasoning animal on planet earth is in charge, sovereign, the supreme One. Man is the true god.
  2. Some men are higher than others in the pyramid of hierarchy; the more intelligent, the more advanced, the more skilled in political manipulation – Obey them for they’re the judges.
  3. Law is not fixed but is evolving along with man. Law is what those in 2., above, say it is for the rest of us based on they themselves create or change. Be ready for it to change tomorrow . . . or else.
  4. You will be brought into line with the rules of 3., above, or be punished, and no religion will save you.
  5. The future is bright, as long as you fall into line and let the smart people in 2., above, stay in charge and tell you and everyone else what to do. The people in 2., above, will guide us through the evolutionary process and avoid an extinction event, but we must be united as a species. If we think your religion might hold back our progress as a united species, then our survival is really much more important than your beliefs . . . or even you. Get the picture?

Cooper, the Father, promising his daughter he’ll return

“Interstellar” came out in 2014. It’s about time and family, but it contains a theological explanation of covenant family and dominion also. Long before seeing it and while sitting in a doctor’s waiting room, I picked up a magazine and noticed an article about the movie. It explained that the makers went to an actual theoretical physicist to learn how to represent a black hole and a worm hole in the movie’s special effects. The scientist allegedly took the equations governing the theoretical operations of these phenomena and matched it with special effects software for a video representation. But when they actually saw the image the equations created, they had made an entirely new scientific discovery as to the operation of the phenomena. Perhaps the first time that a scientific discovery occurred within the special effects process in the making of a movie. Continue reading “Interstellar”
