In Inception, death is a constant presence. It moves a person from one form of reality to another. However, Dom’s imagination, the memory of his wife, the guilt he lives with keeps him returning to a fantasy world of the mind. That fantasy world is an attraction, a pull, even a call to death. It is what draws him to what killed his wife, and it keeps him from the reality of his own children. Is not sin a belief in more than one reality, as Mal asks at the end? Therefore, what can destroy Dom is his sin? Sin allures us with attractive fantasies, and it justifies our engaging in it because their can’t be just one reality, that of God and His just hatred of sin.
You can rest in this: Jesus Christ has finished the work, & God’s Kingdom is now inevitable, not only because God is all-powerful but also because it legally/covenantally must succeed & conquer all, if for no other reason than the fact of Christ’s suffering, death, & resurrection. And the success of God’s kingdom is a glorious, a wonderful, a joyful thing for his covenantally faithful believers. It’s God’s promise of redemption for the earth, the heavens, all mankind. And it started with Christ’s coming to earth – the FIRST time!

It is also an important factor in distinguishing modern science from ancient science, something Jaki studied exhaustively.

Timing is very important to your view of the last days or end times. My view is very different from most of the popularizations of these terms. Imagine, if you will, that you’re a player on a football team, and you show up for the game after it’s over but don’t know it. You might go out on the field to do battle for your school with no other team mates. You might end up playing for another team whose game was scheduled after yours. If you lost because you played another team all by yourself, having missed the game, you would go to school the next day and report your bad news. Your school mates might tell you, “Hey, we won, don’t be so down. But where were you?” You might be happy to know your team won but sad to know you weren’t part of the effort. What if no one told you and let you go away thinking you had lost the game? What if it were the championship game and ruined your entire year? You get the point. Timing is not everything, but it can sure mess alot of things up.
Listening to most explicators/preachers/teachers of the bible, you’d think Rebecca, the wife of Isaac was just a scheming mother who deceived her husband for the selfish goal of helping her favorite child. This is wrong, unbiblical, and highly misleading for young women needing a mentor or example for godly living as a woman. Rebecca is one of the most godly women you’ll find in scripture, and women will find in her a model for life as a wife and mother. It is a bias based on a moral standard that modern moralistic Christians claim is higher than God’s standard in the bible.

Science Was Born of Christianity
Science does not conflict with the bible, but define science properly first. The bible is history. Science should be divided into “exact science” (Click link above for Stacey Trasancos’ book, Science was Born of Christianity: TheTeaching of Fr. Stanley L. Jaki) and “speculative science.” The latter is more like philosophy, and bible believers can discourse with philosophers about the world’s origin. However, when “speculative science” claims to be “exact science” (Click link above) &, therefore, absolute truth, when it’s not, that’s when conflict occurs.
After hearing a sermon on our relationship with our heavenly father, I’m more convinced than ever that Eames’ statement is the key theme of the movie: “You have to start with something much more basic . . . the relationship with the father.” The statement appears throughout the movie in a variety of ways.
